Edith's Mythology

One thing that I’ve noticed that most heroes have in common is that every hero has at least one exaggerated attribute. Theseus had strength and a strong sense of justice and had a great mind as well. Hercules was the strongest man on earth as well as the most self confident. Atlanta was strong swift and courageous and faster than any man. Odysseus was strong as well as clever. Many other heroes had attributes that normal humans would not. This is because most heroes are not exclusively mortal. Many are linked to Zeus such as Perseus and Hercules who are both the sons of Zeus but born to mortal mothers. Theseus was also linked to Zeus because he was the cousin of Hercules. Achilles was the son of a sea nymph and so he was not entirely human. Many heroes are linked to gods and from those gods come their great strength, courage, and cunning.
